Document Management System is software that controls and organizes
documents and archive them throughout an organization. It incorporates
document and content capture, workflow and information retrieval systems.
Also, the processes used to track, store, manage, track and control documents
in simple and easy way. Most are capable of keeping a record of the various
versions created and modified by different users (history tracking). An added
feature to the DMS is to send and receive messages and transactions between
the users of the system.
